Fairfield County’s Community Foundation partners with Resilia to strengthen local organizations

New Orleans, LA - Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, whose goal is to close the opportunity gap in Fairfield County by eliminating disparities in income, education, employment, housing, and health, is partnering with Resilia to strengthen nonprofits that are driving social change in local communities.

Through this partnership, invited organizations will be able to access Resilia’s multi-faceted capacity-building program as they work towards organizational sustainability. The Resilia program helps change makers build mission-facing and back-office capacity while helping elevate stories to drive advocacy and fundraising efforts. This is enabled through an online platform, unlimited 1:1 nonprofit coaching, and peer-to-peer learning models, allowing multiple entry points into capacity building and meeting nonprofits.

“We are thrilled to partner with Resilia on innovative initiatives to strengthen nonprofit organizations. Particularly those led by leaders of color, through a unique combination of on-demand technical assistance, coaching and peer learning,” says Mendi Blue-Paca Fairfield County’s Community Foundation Chief Community Impact Officer. “Leaders of color who are proximate to the communities they serve have a demonstrated track record of generating outsized impact, so increasing the capacity of these leaders and their organizations is a clear way to improve outcomes in our region.”

“We are proud to partner with Fairfield County’s Community Foundation to support and build capacity for nonprofit organizations doing critical work across Connecticut,” says Resilia CEO and Founder Sevetri Wilson.

Fairfield County Community Foundation has also joined Resilia’s flagship ELEVATE initiative, a first-of-its-kind national Funders collaborative comprising 13 Funders and aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving grassroots organizations throughout the country.
