Fund II Foundation Partners with Resilia to Strengthen Nonprofits Focused on Black Maternal Health

Partnership to provide support through capacity-building technology and 1:1 nonprofit coaching to nonprofits throughout the Southern U.S.

New Orleans, La. - Resilia, a “tech-for-good” social enterprise with offices in New Orleans and New York City, and Fund II Foundation have come together to strengthen the capacity of nonprofits in the Southern states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington D.C., and West Virginia.

Fund II seeks to advance social change and create an enduring American legacy by preserving the African-American experience, safeguarding human rights, providing music education, protecting the environment while promoting the benefits of the outdoors, and sustaining critical American values such as entrepreneurialism.

With the belief that diversity and inclusion in philanthropy are crucial to creating real, lasting change, Fund II Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that address systemic barriers and promote equity for Black individuals and communities. Their focus areas include Education, Health, Social Justice, Environment, Cultural Preservation, Music & Art, Career Readiness, and Digitization.

Partnering with Resilila will allow the Foundation to focus on providing capacity building, coaching, and operational support for nonprofits as a part of their Black Maternal Health program throughout Southern states.

"As a community activist for decades, I realized early on that strategic thinking and courageous leadership are mandatory for nonprofits to achieve their vision and mission," said Linda Wilson, Executive Director of Fund II Foundation. "Our community partners benefit from being a thought and deed partner with Resilia.”

"Fund II Foundation’s commitment to promoting equity for Black individuals and communities is exemplary," said Sevetri Wilson, founder and CEO of Resilia. "We are proud to partner with them to strengthen nonprofit organizations committed to the critical work of advancing Black Maternal Health in the U.S."

Through the partnership, Fund II Foundation has also joined Resilia's Elevate initiative, a first-of-its-kind national learning and action network of 60+ funders focused on elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and serving grassroots organizations.
