United Way of Greater Atlanta Partners with Resilia to Strengthen Local Nonprofits and Changemakers

Partnership provides support through capacity-building technology and 1:1 nonprofit coaching

New Orleans, La. - Resilia, a social enterprise with offices in New Orleans and New York City, and United Way of Greater Atlanta have come together to strengthen the capacity of nonprofits throughout Greater Atlanta.

United Way of Greater Atlanta connects teams of people, companies, nonprofit partners, government agencies, and community groups to work together to identify and break down barriers within the community through program development, strategic investments, and community service. With a core belief that it requires different strengths, roles, and perspectives to make a real impact, United Way of Greater Atlanta works to improve the lives of children and families across the city.

Through the partnership, Resilia will support organizations that focus on addressing the impact of lost instructional time for youth in the wake of COVID-19. Resilia will provide 1:1 coaching, online training, fundraising tools, peer-to-peer learning and additional capacity-building resources to help local nonprofits maximize their impact.

"United Way of Greater Atlanta believes that a strong and resilient nonprofit community is critical to increasing child well-being across our region,” comments Laura Heiman Director, Capacity Building & Operations. “We're excited to provide flexible, impactful capacity-building support that helps our partner agencies in ways that work best for them."

"We’re pleased to partner with United Way of Greater Atlanta to strengthen the changemakers dedicated to making lasting improvements in the well-being of children and families," said Sevetri Wilson, founder and CEO of Resilia. "Together, we will build the capacity of these local nonprofits and increase their ability to make a meaningful impact in Greater Atlanta communities."

Through the partnership, United Way of Greater Atlanta has also joined Resilia's Elevate initiative, a first-of-its-kind national learning and action network of 50+ funders aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and serving grassroots organizations.
