Brooklyn Community Foundation Partners with Resilia to Strengthen Local Nonprofits

Partnership will provide support through capacity-building technology and coaching to a cohort of BIPOC-led and serving organizations

New Orleans, La. - Resilia, a social enterprise with offices in New Orleans and New York City, and Brooklyn Community Foundation have come together to build the capacity of a cohort of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) led and serving nonprofits in Brooklyn.

Working with residents closest to the challenges in their communities, Brooklyn Community Foundation prioritizes community-led participatory approaches and capacity building. As part of the partnership, Resilia will provide 1:1 nonprofit coaching, online training, operational templates, fundraising tools, and peer-to-peer learning to help participating nonprofits grow their organizations and maximize their impact.

"Brooklyn Community Foundation is excited to partner with Resilia to deepen our investment in our nonprofit partners," said Sabrina Hargrave, Director of Programs of Brooklyn Community Foundation. "It's especially important that our partners' entire teams have access to Resilia's on-demand capacity-building support, which is greatly needed in navigating these challenging times for nonprofits."

"Resilia is proud to join forces with Brooklyn Community Foundation," said Sevetri Wilson, founder, and CEO of Resilia. "Together, we believe the people most capable of serving and uplifting a community are those within that community, and we look forward to providing our coaching and technology resources to strengthen those local changemakers."

Through the partnership, Brooklyn Community Foundation has also joined Resilia's Elevate initiative, a first-of-its-kind national learning and action network of 50+ funders aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving grassroots organizations.
