Overdeck Family Foundation Partners with Resilia to Strengthen Education-Based Nonprofits
Partnership provides "beyond the grant" support through capacity-building technology and 1:1 nonprofit coaching
New Orleans, La. - Resilia, a social enterprise with offices in New Orleans and New York City, and Overdeck Family Foundation have come together to strengthen the capacity of education-based nonprofits.
Overdeck Family Foundation focuses exclusively on enhancing education both inside and outside the classroom, funding efforts in the areas of early childhood, informal STEM education, and K-9 programs that include supporting educators and student-centered learning environments. In addition to grantmaking, the Foundation provides education-based nonprofits with capacity-building support to help them unlock innovation, evidence, and growth opportunities. These services aim to improve the effectiveness and future sustainability of organizations, clearing the path for nonprofits to scale and accelerate key academic and socio-emotional outcomes for all children.
As part of the partnership, Resilia will provide 1:1 coaching, online training, fundraising tools, peer-to-peer learning, and additional resources to help support nonprofits grow their organizations and maximize their impact.
"Overdeck Family Foundation is excited to partner with Resilia as part of a larger effort to spur innovation in the education sector and strengthen the organizational capacity of nonprofits," said Anu Malipatil, Vice President, Education at Overdeck Family Foundation. "Resilia's dynamic and flexible approach to capacity building empowers early-stage nonprofit organizations to make important progress on the steps to growth."
"Overdeck Family Foundation's mission and focus on education is close to my heart and so important to the future of our nation," said Sevetri Wilson, founder and CEO of Resilia. "The Foundation’s support for nonprofits beyond grantmaking aligns with Resilia’s mission, and we are thrilled to work together to ensure their education-based nonprofits get the tools and assistance they need to positively impact children’s lives for many years to come."
Through the partnership, Overdeck Family Foundation has also joined Resilia's Elevate initiative, a first-of-its-kind national learning and action network of 50+ funders aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving grassroots organizations.
