United Way of the Greater Triangle Partners with Resilia to Support Organizations and Leaders in North Carolina’s Triangle Region
Initiative to focus on supporting organizations and leaders committed to anti-racism
New Orleans, La. - Resilia, a social enterprise with offices in New Orleans and New York City, and United Way of the Greater Triangle have come together to strengthen the capacity of organizations and local leaders throughout the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area of North Carolina.
United Way of The Greater Triangle’s mission is to eradicate poverty and increase social mobility through the power of partnerships. The partnership is supported through the nonprofit organization’s Anti-Racism Community Fund, which is committed to fighting for justice through action, community empowerment, and the dismantling of systems that perpetuate racism and keep people in poverty.
The Fund invests in nonprofits with systemic approaches to dismantling racist structures, as well as local leaders of color, with a goal to build resource capacity and create environments where residents hold the power needed to create community-level change.
Through Resilia’s platform, United Way will offer nonprofits and leaders access to their exclusive online platform which builds organizational capacity through templates, impact measurement, and ongoing 1:1 expert-level coaching support.
“There is no shortage of highly impactful BIPOC leaders in the nonprofit sector and they deserve access to the opportunities that have always been made available for their white peers. Since 2018, United Way of the Greater Triangle has focused on addressing racial, gender, and power disparities in nonprofit leadership,” said Nick Allen, United Way of the Greater Triangle’s Chief Program Officer. “Through this partnership with Resilia, we’re excited to provide these leaders access to the tools they need to go even further, at no cost to them.”
“United Way of the Greater Triangle has a commitment to anti-racism and dismantling racist structures that deeply aligns with Resilia’s mission to uplift marginalized communities that have been the most impacted by systemic inequities,” said Resilia CEO and Founder Sevetri Wilson. “We are thrilled by the opportunity to come together and continue to build on their work.”
Through the partnership, United Way of the Greater Triangle has also joined Resilia’s Elevate initiative, a first-of-its-kind national learning and action network of 40+ funders aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving grassroots organizations.
