Resilia Welcomes Two New Board of Directors Members as Company Expands

Announcement comes just months after Resilia secured historic $35M Series B funding

March 7, 2023
– New Orleans, La. – SaaS company Resilia, a leader in the “tech for good” space, has announced the appointment of two new board members to help guide the organization through continued rapid expansion. Rodrick Miller, President and CEO at Miami-Dade Beacon Council, and Raymond A. Jetson, founder and CEO of MetroMorphosis, bring decades of expertise in public service, economic development, technology, and nonprofit leadership to the Resilia board of directors.

The new board appointments come as Resilia dramatically scales its client base, operations, and outreach following the announcement in Q4 2022 of its $35M Series B funding, the largest raise ever for a solo Black female-founded technology company. With their dynamic backgrounds, Jetson and Miller will use their expertise to help Resilia expand and serve a full range of funders and nonprofits, equipping changemakers with the capacity-building technology and tools they need to advance sustainable impact in the communities they serve.

"Rodrick Miller and Raymond A. Jetson are exceptional leaders who share Resilia’s commitment to leveraging technology to drive positive change," said Sevetri Wilson, founder and CEO of Resilia. “Rodrick has amazing business acumen integrated with civic responsibility, and Raymond provides similar expertise along with direct experience leading a nonprofit. We look forward to the insights they will continue to bring to our board of directors."

Miller, a seasoned economic developer and urban development expert, is the current president and CEO at Miami-Dade Beacon Council. He previously served as CEO of Invest Puerto Rico, founding president and CEO of the New Orleans Business Alliance, and president and CEO of the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation.

“Through its innovative technology platform providing capacity-building support to grassroots and other nonprofits, Resilia is poised to have a tremendous, sustainable impact on communities throughout North America,” Miller said. “I’m thrilled to contribute to a ‘tech for good’ company, and I look forward to helping the Resilia team scale and bring ever-increasing numbers of organizations into its ecosystem.”

Raymond A. Jetson is the founder and CEO of MetroMorphosis, a nonprofit organization focused on urban renewal and community development. He is also a former Louisiana State Representative and is recognized for his leadership in community building and civic engagement.

"Having worked with Resilia through MetroMorphosis, I've seen first-hand the impact that Resilia can have on nonprofits," Jetson said. “I’m happy to have been a sounding board through the company’s development, and I’m excited to now help Resilia grow into the innovative technology leader the philanthropy sector so desperately needs."

Jetson and Miller join an esteemed group of Resilia board members consisting of existing investors and founder and CEO Sevetri Wilson. Notably, the entire Resilia board is composed of leaders of color.

“As Resilia works to democratize philanthropy and provide more equitable access to critical resources – particularly for nonprofits assisting underserved communities – I’m confident our board members have the expertise and backgrounds to help us succeed,” Sevetri Wilson commented. “While helping the company accelerate business growth, our board will also ensure Resilia stays true to our values by uplifting funders and nonprofits who support equity and social justice in the ongoing work to build stronger communities.”
