Austin Community Foundation Partners with Resilia to Support Capacity Building for Grassroots Organizations

Partnership will focus on helping Austin community-based organizations achieve financial sustainability and independence

New Orleans, La. - The Austin Community Foundation (ACF) has partnered with Resilia, a social impact organization that offers nonprofits nationwide access to their exclusive online platform and 1:1 coaching to support effectiveness, creativity, and workflow.

Through the partnership, ACF will utilize Resilia to help support fiscally sponsored grassroots organizations that operate under their fiscal agency and serve the Austin community. Additionally, ACF has extended the opportunity to BIPOC-led grant partners working in communities of color. The partnership will allow ACF to further strengthen and support these organizations as they work towards achieving financial sustainability and independence. Founded in 1977 and the third largest foundation in Austin, ACF uses data to identify the areas of greatest need and opportunity in Austin, invest philanthropic dollars in those areas, and measure results.

“Resilia has been the perfect capacity-building solution for our grant partners and fiscally sponsored projects,” said Meagan Anderson Longley, VP, Community Impact, Austin Community Foundation. “Funder-supported capacity building can often feel like a ‘command performance.’ With Resilia, our partners can seek support and build expertise in a way that is truly in service to their growth.”

”We believe technology is a powerful tool that can be leveraged to strengthen nonprofits and enable them to better serve their communities,” said Resilia CEO and founder Sevetri Wilson. “That’s why we are so excited to partner with the Austin Community Foundation to empower nonprofits in Central Texas.”

Through the partnership, ACF has also joined Resilia’s flagship Elevate initiative, a first-of-its-kind national Funders collaborative aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving grassroots organizations throughout the country.

About Austin Community Foundation

Austin Community Foundation was created through the generosity of one woman, Fannie Gray Files Leo. In 1977, a group of business leaders, led by Fannie Gray’s bank trust officer, officially founded Austin Community Foundation. Austin followed the example of hundreds of cities across the country with the goal to meet community needs and inspire local philanthropists to create endowments to generate earnings and distribute grants. Today, through funds established at Austin Community Foundation, donors award grants and scholarships to people and organizations residing primarily in Central Texas, including Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties.
